ELMHURST, IL –Rafael Rivadeneira, the conservative candidate for Illinois House District 41, received the endorsement from Illinois Conservatives, a grassroots organization founded by young conservatives in Rockford, IL.

Aaron McCray, a spokesman for the organization said Rivadeneira is a true conservative looking for change and true reform.  "Rafael, a life-long Republican, wants to venture away from the good ol' boy mentality, and move back to the roots of true conservatives, making him an ideal candidate to be endorsed by the Illinois Conservatives," McCray said.

Rivadeneira said he was grateful for the endorsement of Illinois Conservatives. He said he was honored to be recognized as a standard-bearer of the conservative movement in Illinois. Rivadeneira also praised the young activists for working to advance conservative ideals across the state.

"It's time we stop talking about returning the Republican Party to our core conservative values and put those words into action. I will lead the fight against the expansion of government, unnecessary taxation and wasteful spending when the people of the 41st District send me to Springfield," Rivadeneira said.

Rivadeneira also received endorsements from Tax Accountability, the political action arm of National Taxpayers United of Illinois and Illinois Federation for Right to Life.

Rivadeneira is president of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly (RNHA) of Illinois and is the immediate past president and founder of the DuPage County chapter of the RNHA. An elected precinct committeeman in York Township, he is actively involved in the York Township Republican Committeemen's Organization, the DuPage Young Republicans and the Illinois Republican Party.
